Hello There!

I'm looking at a 993 cab from Richard Sloan. and he's offered to take it to "The local Authorized Porsche dealership ( Porsche of Wallingford Connecticut )"

Does anyone have experience dealing with him?
OR might drive by his showroom and might take a look for me?

Also any recommendations for a local independent shop in the area?

Thank you!

I have never dealt with Mr. Sloan, as a matter of fact, I looked for a Porsche for years and this is the first time I've heard of him. Doesn't mean he's bad. He is not listed as a member of our local PCA chapter. As for Porsche of Wallingford, a few years ago I talked on the phone with a sales person and agreed on a deal on a 911 cab. When I got to the dealer, I test drove the car and was pleased, only to return to the dealership and was told they would not sell me the car at the agreed price and gave me a price substantially higher. (The salesman got angry with his boss and quite while I was there).

The independent I would recommend is Farnbacher Loles in Danbury, CT, but, depending on where Mr Sloan is located (web site does not tell), it might be farther than he will go.It's probably 45 60 miles from Wallingford.

I woould be glad to take a look for you Mr. Sloan's web site says he shows by appointment only.

I recently checked out a car Sloan had for sale, he is for real, has nice cars and seems to have top stock. I am still considering the car and would not hesitate to deal with him.

Porsche of Wallingford! avoid them on the sales side.

Definately... A friend bought from Sloan and had the local dealership do the ppi, and some obvious things were overlooked that should have been noted.
