You can watch this one on those cold and rainy days when you miss driving your car!

You should see what the car looks like sometimes when I get back from the Eveglades! I just bought some REJEX hopefully it will help in getting the bus off after a run.

"I can't believe I watched the whole thing!" said in the style of the alka seltzer commercial of the 80s commercial. Nice one. What camcorder? Shutter speed? Mount? I have some great twisties about five miles from my place. Gotta do one for you guys. But man, with that sound and the wing (Gemballa?) it must be a cop magnet. Love it!!

Actually the rendering of the video was a combination using Window Moviemaker to make the titles and cut out some of the things I didn't want to show,
because my regular editing computer with Sony Vegas7 software was busy doing another job.
I then took the the final cut and rendered it for YouTube
using the Vegas7 software and it totally destroyed the sharpness and resolution.
I will re do it completely on Vegas7 soon as I get some time.
Cam is a Sony DV the mount was a tripod between the seats.
It's fun to watch sort of like a fishtank but I can easily cut it down to 5 min nd make it better!

Ya, good video! Familiar looking roads too! Hopefully you're up for making a bit more video. Here at work (Champion) we have compiled a selection of 993s with various exhaust setups, and we're thinking of hitting Hwy 27 in the next couple weeks, perhaps a Sunday afternoon. Can you join us to help control the insect population a bit further??

Hey c993k:
If you are using Vegas you obvioulsy are in the biz. I have it and FCP but I love Media 100 which I learned 10 yrs ago. They have a new version "Producer" Which does a great job but I usually export to iDVD "by refernce" and compress there. I think their codec is the best. I also use Toast. Great idea about the tripod. WIll do one soon and DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF. It is great quality for the web. What I would love to see is more rural landscape or reognizable icons. I am driving to SanFrancisco in Oct and will now mount a camcorder like you did and get highlights like Giant redwoods, Pacific ocean, SF skyline. I would be interested in other geography from a 993 perspective. Hmmm, do we need to get a life? : - )

I have several editing software but Vegas is my favorite by far. It easy to do because you can set up a channel for a certain specific use and all the vids get the same custom preset rendering after the edit is finished.
Thank you, Chris

Default Exhaust sounds tolerable for DD???

Your super cup sound is not as 'loud' as I would have imagined. Wonder how a 2" LPMM sounds compared to the 'cup' sound? Louder, softer, deeper, higher...??? The cup sound was very deep and throaty and I did not hear any drone - but maybe a 'drone' did not come thru?

I just got back from road trip through the Cascade Mountains and the canyons of the high desert and I saw great places for a POV video. Watch out for them. I have been inspired by c993k. I loved the sound of my RSRs when going through areas where there was bounce back off walls and buildings. It sounded really healthy withoiut being too loud in the car. In fact I wish it were a little louder but I only have about 700 miles on them and I notice they are gettting more raspy. WHo needs a stereo when you have boxer sound system (not Boxter)

Mine is louder and throatier than in the video. I changed the sound settings a bit to make it smoother.
I'll make another vid just for the sound, idle and fly by's.
If you want to hear the loudest 993 in the World just wait till we do the vid on Brian's 1998c2s vid!
He has the Supecups with the DACH X-Pipes. You can clearly hear it from 3 miles away. No kidding!
Chris
