That is a fantastic analogy. Thx for posting it

look at my car - OK. Nice car. Look at my car and my watch? Hmmmm.

What's next my car, my watch - my new lawnmower, my new ride on lawn mower, my new shoes???????????????

Still, the Daytona is a nice time piece. I have a Sea Dweller. My favourite though is the Omega Seamaster Big Orange. Neither match the color of the car or the wifes eyes - Time for a respray and an optical job? Not!

Please don't get me wrong, I own a couple of very nice watches too, I just don't feel inclined to share my jewelry with you guys

Guess you've never been on Timezone.com then...
People talk all day long about their watches, posting pics of their collections now and then and asking questions about this or that one. Sometimes they post pics of their cars with their watches together as a silly photo opportunity to blend the 2 "hobbies" of their life together in 1 pic. People rarely comment that posting a pic of their car while wearing the watch in question as a "vanity post" or simply an ego issue for the poster. They consider it photo-fun and games, not an egotistical boast.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, though, and you've expressed yours.

Yeah, I've just really had it with some of the negative responses to this thread and my fun, lighthearted, initial watch and car pics.

Oh well... them's the breaks. It's not like it's a nuclear disaster or 9/11 or anything. It just irks me sometimes that some people here are so ... ahh, forget it.

I'll try to stay more on topic in the future... god forbid I try to have any fun around here just ever so slightly off topic.

I don't have the watches Atan888 does, but I sport the same (HRE) wheels - these are a few of my time pieces:

1. Timex Digital Ironman - needs battery (doesn't work right now so i don't know what time it is)
2. Swiss Army "Raider" doesn't work but it was cheep at the gargage sell ( i never sold it)
3. Palm Treo - great time - when it works
4. Samsung 1000 first cell phone that had time displayed (who knows if it was correct)
5. Nokia - Double digital time - you see if you're in London or Roma or in deep doodoo
6. Audiovox 2X - never saw the time of day.

So it really never occurred to you that some people might find it a bit tacky? Nobody's really flamed you like they might have--mostly just "not my cup of tea" responses.

How about next time:

Post a picture of your tract mansion and your Porsche
Post a picture of your wife (2nd/trophy quality only--no starter wives) and your Porsche
Post a picture of your johnson and your Porsche

You know there are websites where guys talk all day long about their johnsons, posting pics of their johnsons now and then and asking questions about this or that one.

Aww, Steve, this was a fun thread. Don't let the grumbling drops of a few rain on your parade.

Darn! One of my favorite recent threads, edited to oblivion. Steve - thanks for starting the thread...I found it hilarious. I was even tempted to share a pic, but couldn't find it. It was the shoe pictured below on an arena red turbo tail. Kinda the girl's version of a watch, in a way. It wasn't even my car that I put the shoe on, but another Rennlister's 993 2s! Ha!! Anyway, some folks just don't have a sense of humor and can't be "bothered" by others wanting to have fun. Oh well.
