What???
Of course not. Unless:
1 - You have a 993 cabrio.
2 - You play with a junior or a dwarf model set of woods and irons.
Big Bertha's and Porsche's don't get along very well. I guess we can't have it all
It was Ferry Porsche's dictum from 911's inception that the owner could have a set of clubs fit in the back with the seat backs folded down. So, where have we gone wrong? Ullrich Bez and Tony Hatter forgot that requirement when 993 was designed, or we Americanos are oversizing everything? or maybe you guys should keep trying (seat fold down perhaps)?
For reference on size, I play with a set of regulars size Mizuno blades, an R-7 driver, fairway woods. My buddy plays with a set of ping cavity-backs, and a Cleveland Hi-Bore driver. All are pretty standard loft, lie, and length, normal size clubs.
Both sets in the back of the targa no problem. We do, however remove the woods and lay them separately over the packed bags.
We've got golfers here? And even some of you guys I am getting to know! Of course, I've not picked up a club in 3+ years since I sold our house up at Redhawk in Reno and quit the club..............

I'm the ****tiest golfer on the planet, and proud of it. My only real expertise on a golf course is flagging down the beer cart girl to buy drinks.
Yeah, I'm pretty ****ty too. I don't even keep score & just try to enjoy myself. Nonetheless I'm fixin' to drop $165.00 for a round on Sunday @ Coyote Moon in Truckee, Ca ( http://www.tahoemountainclub.com/ind...menities&id=58 ). I've driven past it literally hundreds of times going up and down Northwoods (street) and some family members invited me along. I figured WTF, gotta do it at least once. Per the norm, I won't keep score, just have a good time and enjoy the scenery!
Thanks for all of the good information about the clubs. I am driving down to Fredericksburg TX this morning and I wanted to take my 997 rather than my Hummer H3. I will give it a try with the clubs in the back with the drivers set aside.
Ive done 2 sets (with woods out of bag lying on top) plus travel bags for 2 for an overnight all in the back.....not great for performance with all teh weight but the drive and the destination are fun....
