Question Shop in San Antonio or Austin TX

I just drove my 993 from Bangor to Laredo and am trying to find a "home" for advice and repairs should the need arise. Needless to say there is nobody in Laredo. If anyone has suggestions for San Antonio or Austin I would be very appreciative.

TIA

Al

My, that is quite a change in scenery. Jones is reputed to be good, and we have some good shops in Austin as well.

I will second the Jones Autowerks recommendation. They really do most if not all of thier business on our cars. They are very personable, explain issues well and make deadlines.

I have also used Autobahn on 410 and starcrest and would recommend them for routine maintenace if it is closer to you, however, they seem to have had some turnover and I have not used them much in the last year or so.

Al, you must meet some of these TX folks. (Especially Adrienne) Maybe you all could do some of those Sunday drives like the good ole days in AZ!

(Al and I both lived in AZ up until last year.)

Jones in San Antonio worked on my 1971 911S for years and did a great job.

Callas in Sealy TX has a stellar reputation.

Moorespeed in Austin does great work.

If you find yourself in Austin, I will be glad to help in any way possible.

Many Thanks !!! I don't have any needs yet, but didn't want to wait too late. Patrick led some great rides in AZ. If any of y'all have any 993 rides planned I'd love to join in. FYI, I am a Texas Ex who has been an expatriate for 18 years.

Patrick,

I thought of you when I came through the Big D, but it was very heavy traffic and I wanted to make it from Memphis to Laredo so no time to linger. Maybe if you guys have a weekend ride planned later in the Fall I can come up and join in. I guess I'll have to affiliate with the local PCA chapter too.

Once again thanks to all.

We have some nice Hill Country (Leakey, Bandera, Hunt, etc.) rides at the Longhorn Region (San Antonio), including one this Sunday. <longhornpca.org>
