Default Shifter rod ball/sockets: Permanent fix.

After finding out from a few members that forward lower shift rod with the ball and sockets get loose and even loose when brand new, mod'ed mine with rod ends for a permanent fix. They are definitely tight and will not wear out. Besides the rod ends, the rest of the mat'l was from hardware store.
total cost for parts was <$20. ...Being able to weld helps. I made new forward mounting bracket because I didn't have fwd mounting ball/bracket and had just purchased one new for $35 (that's go'n back).

Very nice!
I had considered something like this for the C4S.... but the forward ball stud welded to the torque tube damped my spirits

Wow, great timing. My linkage just failed on me last week, due to failure in this stupid part. So I'm currently trying to work out a solution.

Oddly, the exact same thing happened to a friend's 964 just 2 weeks ago (it's the same part).
