Default RS interior, HELP

I have purchased a complete Porsche RS carpet kit. I need some pic's of the rear side panels as to help me install the carpet correctly. Details of the top and front edges would be most helpful. I can't figure out how the edges fit around the leather trim piece next to the door. The carpet kit is very nice and I want a correct install.

I did an installation guide for early cars. Not sure what's the same or different with 993s: http://www.rallystuff.com/images/rs_carpet_guide.pdf

Well... I tried to find the pics of my carpets but they are on the home PC...

If you can wait til Friday, I will post the exact pics plus a couple of extras where there are diffs from Rally John's document. Largely correct BTW for the 993 IIRC

Well done RJ

Monique I would really appreciate those pictures!!! Any one else have any pictures of the rear area of the RS please post. Any details would be greatly appreciated as I am installing Porsche RS carpet, and as you know it is not cheap so I would like to get it correct the first time.

Hello Hutch,

Found the photos.. the one point is the RS uses a different type of seatbelt cover than the other 993's. The cover shape and size is quite evident in the pic. Some pics are not great but for info, they should be useable. If you need the hires version, drop me a pm.

JP, thanks so much for the pictures they are exactlly what I was looking for. I do have the RS seat belt covers as well as the completer carpet kit. Would you happen to have a picture of the area behind the seat belt strap as shown in picture #5 pertaining to the top trim area of the carpet? Again thanks for taking the time to send the pictures I REALLY appreciate you!!!! This forum is super as are the people!

Sorry Hutch,

Pic 8 does not rock your boat? Can you explain?

Better camera now... I'll give you what you need, spell it out!

JP, the area behind the seat belt in picture #5, if the seat belt were pulled to the rear of the car a shot of the upper corner of the carpet. I am looking at how Porsche rapped the trim around the B pillar. Again thanks,

Hutch, is your current carpet black? If it's in good shape I'd be interested in it. As well as the sound insulation underneath.

My carpet was black, I just ripped it out and it's gone.

Hutch, do you have any under-carpet insulation left? Are you reusing it for RS interior?

Mike: I might be doing the RS carpet upgrade. If so, you're welcome to my black one. Are you doing an interior color change?

Louis yes, I'm doing the color change to black. Any black pieces I can get would be greatly appreciated. Let me know when and how much.
