Do a search on seat removal. There is a lot of stuff out there. I did it about a year ago and it is easy you need to remove the hex bolts that hold the seat rails to the bottom of the car. The seat comes out with the rails. BUT my German fellow engineers have used the softest crap material for the bolts which means the are easy to strip. Get you some good new hex tool with sharp edges and treat the bolts over night with some resolvent to loosen them up. When you re-install do you a favor and use some new bolts either from home depot or sears.

Good look. I just stripped one bolt and my Dremel tool came in very handy ...

kroil is advertised to free anything with threads. i have used it and it seems to work well but i have not compared with other penatrating oils. no affil. worked great on the bronze seacocks on the boat and the bolts on the seat of the 993. ds
