Hello,

Been wandering arround the site for a while and finally decided to introduce myself. I've enjoyed reading many of your posts and have learned quite a few technical bits about my own car, a 1997 Porsche C4s. I've owned the car for nearly five years and have, throughout that time, managed to keep it original. I think that's about to change based on the tasty mods I've seen posted here.

I've been a Porsche owner for quite a few years (on my fourth 911) but have "cheated" on the mark several times for short stints with several "other" makes. No surprise to anyone here, I always return to Porsche.

Thanks for all of the great tips on detailing/care/maintenance, etc. This is a great site. I enjoy the humor and comaraderie and hope to add my own flavor to the mix.

Julio

P.S. I hope the pictures load. Want to avoid a massive toungue lashing for not posting pics.

Thanks guys!

Chris, that list looks a lot like what I have in mind!! Now I'm off to the usual Saturday breakfast with a few friends owning. . .a white 997tt, 997GT3, a 930/993t and a 996tt all of them are modified!! @#!* I'll make sure they eat more than me. Maybe the extra weight will slow them down so I can catch them in my NA. . . never mind.

Agree. Porsche's should come out only in two colors: Black or white.

Holy catalytic converters Batman.........you can forget keeping up with that 997 GT3. He could drag an anchor behind it and you still wouldn't keep up I've lightened mine a bit and disconnected the front drive line and wasn't even close to keeping up with one at the track. 415 hp vs 282 is no comparison, but for a fraction of what he spent, I still have a blast in my car. Love it to death and which model now copies the 993 in overall immediate apperance for the lay person?.......thats right the 997! So I personally am okay with the differential.....for now I still would like to lessen that difference in power and speed over time but bigger mods means bigger $$$

Hope you enjoy your breakfast
