I had a 4S and changed the spoiler to the split grill, which I think looks great, didn't even think about the turbo spoiler. Now I have a turbo, so don't have a choice, but the lines on the NA cars are timeless so I still wouldn't put a turbo spoiler on a NA if doing it all again.

Plus you don't want the Porsche Police spotting that there is no intercooler under that turbo spoiler! Heaven forbid, go straight to jail!

Thought about that myself at times. To me, it almost looks like 2 totally different cars. Looks great either way, just different. With the spoiler it almost looks like a super car, so amazingly agressive Without the spoiler it has great lines, sleek, subtle, classy...

Can't really go wrong. I'd almost say daily driver, low key style, stick with getting a split grill - great upgrade!

Weekend dream car, more of a menicing mean look, go with a spoiler.

It the best looking spoiler there is for the 993, but the C2S grill is classic and beautiful too. The car is also not a turbo so it's a little like my old 911T the PO had put a 911S badge on....I replaced it. It is what it is.

I say keep the turbo wing and sell me your split grille.

Seriously, turbo wings belong in turbos. The lines of WB S cars should not be disturbed. I think the RS tails on the above NB examples look great but WB cars should remain sans tail.

If you insist on keeping the tail, I'm serious about buying your split grille.

I like my fatass with no tail but if I had an extra decklid I would get a tail and swap it out every now and then.

I love the lines of a 911 coupe. The WB version being the pinnacle. I wouldn't mess with perfection.....but, as others have said "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". You did what you did for a reason. You don't have to explain it to anybody. Personally, I think you are crazy Let's see some photos!

Cheers,
Dave

thanks for the replies. You have not really made my decision any easier..;-(
The original 2 peice certainly is classic but I wanted the car to look a bit more agressive..hence the TT spoiler. My wife and family dont like it and think its ruined the back end which is the cars greatest assett. Oh Well see how it goes i have both so if I change my mind its a easy swap over...;-)

I like the widebody with the tail, for the same reasons you posted; a bit more agressive, particularly when the car is lowered. Don't have a good photo of mine to post right now, but I have the tail on mine also, and am quite happy with it.

to each his/her own, if you like it, go for it. I prefer the classic lines without it, even on WB cars. I tend to believe a tail should only be used for functional purposes, e.g track use, and/or, to house an intercooler/supercharger, although if YOU prefer the look, that serves a functional purpose also.

Thanks Subversive,
They are 19" HRE split rims. Use them for street, 18" factory wheels for track.
