Question Removing A/C Vent???

I have a problem with the passenger side A/C vent on my '96 and would like to remove it. However, it is unclear to me how this is done! I removed the cover on right side of the dash - that did not seem to be involved. I also searched the factory manuals but could not find the section on removing this.

Anyone tackled this yet?

I guess this is too tough of a challenge for the rennlist crew

Should I be asking something simple like setting the backlash on the G50 R&P?

If you are talking about the plastic air vents they just pull out, they are held in with spring tab mechanisms, top and bottom. I think you can see the tabs just sticking down if you look into the vents.

I had to remove the driver's side vent when running the line to my radar detector. There's a DIY somewhere in the archives...presumably, the passenger side works similarly...

Thanks guys, I have pulled in the vent pretty hard and it is not budging at all... I'll give it another go.
