What kind of gas do you pump in the 993?
#47
Chevron (despite pleas from backseat to buy "Schumacher's gas" a.k.a. Shell) & occasional bottle of Techron.
BTW, by law self-serve gas is not allowed here... so seeing a strange pump jockey approaching my car wielding a metal pipe connected to thousands of gallons of flammable liquid fills me with terror everytime.
But then sometimes they pause & say something like "really nice car"...

Have to pump 91 because of chip. Gas in Colorado has 10% Ethonal added to it which must have some long term issues. I don't know if you can buy gas in this state that does not have Ethonal added for polution control (or so I'm told).

Topcot,
I recently put in some 101 octane (mixed in with my 91 octane) from Duggan Petroleum. They sell "race gas" on Saturday mornings from 8am to 12 noon. I have a Rennsport chip in my car and it ran really nice with the 101 octane. Unfortuanately, it costs $6.25 a gallon!

ok im the acetone person, use it in my aircraft, both porsches andthe suburban
its more than just a booster. its a surfact active agent[ try pouring it, it climbes all over the container.. it atomizes better and gets 10-20% better mileage. i buy Home Despot, ist cheap. This whole deal is explained on the internet. the car flies with it.

also, toluene, benzene are more toxic, and produce a more toxic combustion product, benzene and toluene are very carcinogenic, esp benzene, and both are absorbed thru the skin,
acetone removes oils from your skin and will dry and crak it with repeated exposure.

the highest grade I have found is 92 octain, I will try and find the Chevron 94?? I found that when i get a good tank of fuel the car shifts smoother and runs way better. I only use major brand SUPER but found that even at the same station you can get an "off" day... I was thinking about adding a boost or addative. What do you think?
