Default Denver used Porsche dealer out of business

Skip Evans, a local used Porsche dealer went out of business this week and then was found dead at his home. Details are very sketchy at this time.
He owned Rocky Mountain Autosport that some of you may have seen over the years during your search for a P car and his dealership was out of trust with the bank.

It sounds like Skip "skipped" out of having to go to court by his own hand. Skip took the easy way out.
I feel bad for recent buyers and consigners.

Why would anyone fork over cash without receiving a clear title in exchange?
I sometimes think Pcar buyers let their emotions overrule their judgment when buying! I have hauled sellers to the DMV, to verify title before I gave them any dough.

Wow...pretty close to home for me. i just bought a car from Jeff Frazier in Englewood. He used to own RMA, sold it, and started preferred Auto Brokers. FWIW, he could not have been more helpful in our transaction; accurate description, took the car for a PPI, and followed through on all committments. I am trying to remember if I drove back to NM with a title...I don't think so.

Wow, bad news. I had emailed him a few times about some cars recently. Too bad.
