Default Porsche: The ultimate money pit

Thats about it, I realized I've spent over $5k in the last 15 months, and havent gone down the silppery slope yet, still have the same car.

However, every time I get in the driver's seat, it all feels okay.

Even doing all my own repairs, we still spend way too much on our cars. It doesn't help that we have 4 of them.

The 993 isn't a true money put though, because they still have resale value. Our 944 on the other hand is a black hole for money.

At least we are not losing much on depreciation.

Yup. Think I'd have saved money with the depretiation on a new car. Now gotta get new rotors...

And yet every time I curse and scream, I get in the (painfully offset) driver's seat, and grin like a Cheshire Cat....

I hate this car

If I could slow my spending down to $5K every 15 months my wife would be thrilled.

No ****. It gives new meaning to nickel and dime to death.

0.05 = $5,000.00
0.10 = $1,000.00

Some good friends think their ex-wife is the money pit. Half of what I had here, alimony there, wanting more child support because she wants a bigger place to live.

I'll take the money pit of a car over what some of them are going through any day of the week.

Pretty much what I have spent over the past 4 years in performance upgrades ($12kish) is all the further Im going with mine, besides the basic services. Im refering to the car, not boob jobs or jewelry.

$5000.00 over 15 months is still far cheaper than a wife (or ex-wife) in my experience. If I spent $1K on the car she assumed it was more like $3K and treated herself to something that cost $5K. I'll take a car any day.

Someone once told me about women: "If they didn't have #$%^s, they'd be ten deep on the dump!"

Not my words, just passing the thought on.

I thought the saying was "For every good man, there is a nagging woman woman he should leave."

Coming up on US$13K in just over two years of ownership.
