Has anyone seen this product ? The video looks convincing I wonder if it is worth it? Im thinking of using it to fix my door check mount.

i just need to find someone in San Diego area that I trust who wont charge me an arm and a leg. They also have a solution for steel repair, http://www.aluminumrepair.com/hts528.asp (according to the video their product is stronger than a TIG or MIG) but Id rather find someone experienced with a TIG in my area before I attempt it myself. Plus its hard to believe all the advertising hype so if anyone has experience with this product please let me know.

I have used the Aluminum brazing rods and they work very well, but only for Aluminum unfortunately. You have to heat the surface with Mapp gas for it to work and I would not even attempt using the steel ones. You will have to heat up the door sill to such and extreme heat that you will melt your rubber seals and ruin the paint. I would have it welded by a pro. just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Has anyone done the Pelican reinforcement on a 993? I tried it and it didn't work. Pelican themselves have no experience of doing it on 993s, so they suggested I ask here to see if anyone did it.
