The original 5 cd holder is located just behind the e-brake.
I am wanting to remove it for repair and was hoping that I didn't have to remove the entire centre console to do it.
There is an access point in the rear of the cd holder but I can't locate any other removable bits. Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC, there is only one screw that retains this holder, and it just lifts out. Here is the link to a diagram that may help.
