The CEL should light when you turn the key to position 2. If it doesn't, it's probably a burned out bulb. Replace the bulb, reset the code and see if it will stay off.
If the CEL does light, the "Control Module Fault EEPROM" may be the culprit. However, I'm not exactly sure what that could mean. You may need to have an experienced shop with the correct Porsche diagnostic tools check it out. I'd also bet our local guru JasonAndreas would have the answer.

Thank you. The bulb was out! I replaced it, the light has stayed off, however, I need to run a full driving cycle to make certain it stays off.
