Default OCD alert/request: stickers for distributor cap?

Hey,

Replaced my distributor caps and rotors today. They were clearly the factory units, since one had a sticker on it with the firing order... the new cap has no such sticker.

SO

Is there anyplace I can get such a sticker? Got to keep the Red Sled compliant with Porsche standards and my own OCD peace of mind...

BTW, if your car has rolled past 60K miles without changing the caps and rotors, DO IT. It's spendy, but the contacts on mine showed clear evidence of arcing and degradation. I'm hoping she'll run just a wee tad smoother and more economically now. Idle sounds different, although I haven't driven it yet.

Yep, she runs smooth as buttah now. Velvettey.

I thought she was running good before. Now she's just dialed in TIGHT.

My car is in the shop now getting a rebuilt distributor. 97,000 miles. Caps and rotors had been replaced earlier but was having other work done and decided to go for it.

Thaddeus,
I have the same sickness. I sourced my replacement decal from Sunset Porsche while ordering other parts a few months ago.

Even easier - check this out. Scroll down for the 964 decal, it's the same.

If you do have your old caps still, see if the original will come off. I just replaced my caps/rotors at 80K miles (!) and the sticker, in good condition, was barely attached to the orignal.

Good luck.
