I did miss something in the translation. Here's an excerpt of an email I just received from the shop:

"there are 2 pins, but, one was sheered –too short and the other was walking its way out….. that is why you were getting harder and harder to shift at the track. Finally, the one broke off. Other than that, looks good. Steel syncros were installed in this box too. "

My transmission failed the same way...one of those little pins sheared. While it was open for repair...one thing led to another...while you're there...New gears, steel syncros, LWFW/RS clutch, LSD plates, rear axles.
That pin was really an expensive piece.
