Default Transmission Tray Advisory ...

The trans tray has an ~ 6.75" longtitudinal oblong slot in the right side to clear the aluminium pipe section of the 'under trans' oil line: on my car, the forward edge of this slot needed to be carved out another full inch to clear the line ..... for the plastic edge was fretting against the line. In checking the tray from my parts car, this was also the case as the plastic was wearing away.
A 2-3 min pass with a burr on the dremel corrected this .... for I could forsee a mixture of oil and sand collecting at the contact spot to slowly chew its way into the oil line.
This may be worth a look next time underneath ... to verify adequate clearance.
