Porsche option codes xe8 and xe9???

Mikestash,
You can verify with me on this one. My '96 Targa has those option codes too. I believe that the "X" coded options were P exclusiv options. I cannot find them either on the decoder sites.
My car has a rootwood shifter with an aluminum ****, the e-brake is similar.

Another Data Point
Same codes, same shifter/handbrake. Although the Googling I did awhile back came up w/ walnut instead of rootwood. Maybe the source was wrong, or maybe different wood grains were offered as part of the exclusive options.
It's a nice look, though I probably wouldn't have picked it myself.
