Default Porsche option codes xe8 and xe9???

Folks - anyone know what these are? Option decoder didn't know. Have never ever seen these before! Can anyone help?

You can verify with me on this one. My '96 Targa has those option codes too. I believe that the "X" coded options were P exclusiv options. I cannot find them either on the decoder sites.
My car has a rootwood shifter with an aluminum ****, the e-brake is similar.

Default Another Data Point

Same codes, same shifter/handbrake. Although the Googling I did awhile back came up w/ walnut instead of rootwood. Maybe the source was wrong, or maybe different wood grains were offered as part of the exclusive options.

It's a nice look, though I probably wouldn't have picked it myself.

Not necessarily. When I inquired through a local dealer after buying my car, they told me my VIN was a C4S with factory Aerokit. The only thing they got right was that it was Arena Red. Needless to say I didn't drop $100 on the CoA.
