Orlando, FL area GTG Sat June 23 (Now with PICS!)
Are people in the mood for this?
I am aware of the AX event in Deland the next day, and the CFE meet the following Saturday, but any Rennlisters want to get together and p-car it?
(Well, I'll be in a Hertz rental )
The suggestion has been made for Winter Park Village, off of 17-92, south of Lee Road. Lots of parking and a convenient Starbucks right there. How about 10:00am by the Albertson's parking area?
Anyone know how to link this to the other Rennlist forums?

this is a monthly get together of a bunch of local people that have some mighty nice cars with a drive after. It would be nice if more Porsches showed up to counter all the Lambos and Fcars !

CFE= Central Florida Exotic group
The Deland Event is a autocross i believe. I dont know who is having the event. The local PCA was having a autocross this sunday 17th but canceled it yesterday after I went out and bought a new helmet

Sorry if I seemed to speak in code on those other events, I was remembering from the "Central FL -Wheel refinishing" thread.
(No I don't spend too much time on Rennlist... )
jimq has answered the "cfe" (central FL exotics) aspect.
The other info came from Black993 who unfortunately cannot make the 23rd, but provided the following info:

There is an autoX in deland the next day too if anyone is interested in attending. www.cfrsolo2.com for more info. Its usually a quick slalom course since its set up on a runway but a good excuse to drive the car anyway

Yeah, sorry guys I wont be able to make it unless we do something later in the evening. I will be stuck working Saturday until 5 most likely.
The deland autocross is the following sunday. I will be out there for that. First run is usually around 10:00 am, but get there early to get through tech inspection and walk the course.
Its at the deland RC club, which is located at the Deland Airport. If you need directions please let me know. Its usually a fairly quick slalom course with a tight U-turn since its layed out on a runway. Its put on by the Central Florida Region of SCCA and is $20 for SCCA Members and $30 for Non-SCCA folks. Usually about 4 runs, and possible fun runs if they get done early. Please be aware that the road to get to the event goes from pavement to dirt and the ends up on the runway which is of course, paved
I'll be out driving the old man's 997 instead of my 993 (fresh paint from the body shop) but come find me if you head out!
If any CFL people are interested in doing something else please let me know. Saturday's are difficult for me but Sunday's are usually pretty good.
