hey hey hey... i need to collect royalty on pix of my car
greg, you and your buddy's TT's are really fast. i was bearly staying out of your way on the straights. and after he 996TT passed one slower car with me caught behind, i can't get back to him again.
ken, nice to see you again. galdly you weren't driving YZ, else you be breathing down my neck as usual.
the oem MPSC are totally different than the real MPSC. no grip and my oem pads are toasted too... but it was fun out there.
did you guys run in the rain? when i got on the fwy around 3pm, the sky really opened up.
Greg and I drove in the rain for a bit about 3 laps I think. Then no abs, rotated-for-dry rear tires and toe out in the back got some sense in me ... A miata spun right in front of me at T10 but luckily (for me) he went aggie...

I have seen quite a few of these now, that I tend not to take any notice....from your photos, the air cooled cars look far more interesting than the "kettle"
The whole story was done by David Coleman in Excellence 3 or 4 years ago.....time flies. In brief, my cousin got a set of blueprints about 7 years ago and off he went building one. Solid modeled the suspension hubs, and has sold them to most of the 907/910 owners out there.
Back to the car, he made the body and was fortunate enough to get the cloth left over from 1967 run of originals. Things like a 907 oil cooler were used since no 910 units remained. I think it's got a 917 rack for similar reasons. Had Tom @ Jongbloed make some 3 piece 13" wheels since those mag units were unsafe, even when new. It goes on and on and on.......labor of love. He's doing another, and a 907 right now.
What struck me, on doing the original shakedown, was how this blob of steel tubing and fiberglass cloth became a car; and one that I felt completely comfortable with at speed after only a couple of laps fresh from completion.
