Hopefully there will be cars like yours around if ever I take the TT plunge !

Alvin--

Your TT along with Tony's are some of the finest examples I've ever seen. For godssake keep that baby, or at least ensure it goes to another RL'er. If I had the $$, I'd be on a plane tonight to drive it home in the morning.

As a previous owner of a really nice E30 M3 and the present owner of a "plain" 993, if space is the only concern (not dollars) I'm not sure why you would want to keep the M3 and sell your TT. No offense, but for me they are not even in the same league.

Yes, I've been there. I spent way too much on my EVOIII-like restoration, which like yours was from the ground up. I was fortunate to find a buyer who appreciated what I had created and got most of my $ back.

However, I probably would have ended up selling it at some point for a loss. BMWs, even the good ones, rarely command big money in the "classic" car market. In other words, you'll probably need to keep your M3 a LOOONG time to recoup your investment. In the mean time, you'll be getting a rid of a really special car just to hang on to the M3. Just my .02.

Good luck.
