Default AARGGH!!! Removing collapsed lifter

I located my one collapsed lifter... but how do I get the sucker out??

The pivoting head came off but the seal and main body are unmoveable... suggestions??

When I did mine they didn't come apart. (!) Maybe one of those ez-out drill-bit things that is used to pull out a bolt with a broken head? I hate it when that kind of stuff happens, good luck.

Can you spin it in place to try and loosen it? Pair of needle nose pliers where the head came off, or maybe small snap ring pliers. Aside from that, I'd drill and punch a screw into it that you can grip well.

Can you rotate the crank .... ergo - cam - and push the little s.o.b. up? Or, first push the lifter downwards to the cams base circle ( in a position when that valve is normally closed) - then rotate the cam to initiate movement.

Thank you all. I got some steel wire in the ports, squeezed the ends into my vice and pulled like a SOB>>> came out OK.
