Default Las Vegas / route 66 Ideas?

Hi all - Im heading to las vegas next weekend and taking the p-car. I was thinking of checking out Red Rocks - that highway that Pedro gets his great images. Isnt there some other p-car destinations out there? Im coming from LA basn so we might take the longer route 66 way once we get to Barstow.

Any rennlister with tips on the journey out there or places to go?

Many thanks! TJ

Are the Utah canyons too far North for you?
UT hw 12
from Torrey to Long Valley Junction is a great way to get there.

Looks awesome but its a little too far for just 3 days away. Love the looks of the candy red. VERY NICE!

Just North of the city is Valley of Fire. It will look quite similar to Red Rock though if you are already going there. However, you can head north go through the Valley of Fire then cut across to Lake Mead and follow the lake back around all the way to Hoover Dam then do the "Dam" tour.

The Hoover Dam is definitely worth a visit, as is Lake Mead. You may as well pop into Lake Las Vegas since you're on the southeast side. Enjoy.
