At about 12:00 noon today, I was in my BMW (for sale) with the family on the 405 South on my way home from a visit to Oxnard.
I spied a black coupe with black wheels and no basket, and moved in for a closer look. Just as I got behind it, right before the 10 interchange, this older lady in a gold ML500 from South Bay Mercedes totally changed lanes right toward the driver's front fender of our brother's 993. Worst nightmare for a car driven only on Sundays, when nothing is supposed to happen. Fortunately, he honked and braked enough to avoid impact, but man, it was awfully close! She must have been flustered pretty bad and proceeded to spend the next 20-30 seconds in TWO lanes at once!
I wish we had better public transportation in LA so the non-enthusiasts can stay off the roads. I'm convinced that there are literally millions in LA County who dislike driving, but are "forced" to go out an mix it up with us.
