Hi Bill

Funny enough, the ramp angles are symmetric, much to my surprise. They are both 30deg to the friction surface.
Here is the best image I have at the moment:

From what I know, the diff I am working with is from a 964 -- originally a two plate iteration. I need to do some more research to determine what cars offered what ramp angles (locking percentages).

The ramps I have will work well for coast, but may be a too aggressive for the drive side of things.

Ah, that makes sense. It's a nominal 40% used in the /03, /04 and /05

Default How do you know when your LSD is bad?

Okay...extremely dumb question but what is the definitive way to determine if the LSD is working, particularly if you don't track your car? My car has LSD and not even 35K mi. but my indy mechanic said he 'thought' my LSD was not working because one wheel spun free and the other didn't when he had it on the rack. I'm not sure that makes sense.
