For those lucky Rennlisters in the DFW area, you should give these guys a try. They aren't Rennlist sponsors (yet) so I am not sure how much I can say here. I am just a happy customer, no interest - professional or personal in this company. They come out and three guys absolutely attack the car... washing, clay barring, repeating, etc... then polishes, etc. They use only Zaino products and the results are fantastic. Today was a bit overcast, so I will take some after pics when it is more sunny. My car goes straight under a car cover after I get this type of treatment done. I do it about 1- 2 times per year and in-between do all the maintenance myself with Zaino products.
Their detail truck was super cool.

I wish we had this in my area in Wash DC. I just don't have the time to do it as intensely as detail people do it, particulary the inner part of the wheels. I get tar from the road in there and don't have the energy to take the wheels off to clean it off completely.
You're lucky, and yes, how much!?

the prices really vary, as he can do all kinds of things.... ranging from undercarriage/engine detailing to wet sanding to polishing, interior, steam cleaning, etc... my car is one of the cheapest he works on - a lot of Ferraris, Lambos, etc... I know someone with a Murcielago that pays him $1k twice a year for all the stuff he does to that car...
I pay about $300 a visit a couple times per year, including the tips to his guys... I get pretty basic stuff done, because I like to add to it/improve on it myself.
Here is the website, much more on pricing in here:

By the way, none of this is to take away from our own Rennlister, Anthony Orosco, who, based on the pictures of his work, probably performs at this level or higher on his detailing... it's just that he is in San Antonio and I am in Dallas...

1- being 1/2 Mexican, I dont appreciate the undertones of your comment about "Julio"
2- i am going to guess that you don't have a clue about what is involved in Zaino detailing, the complexity of it, need to mix things properly, get it right, etc... you are probably getting turtle wax on your porsche
3- i dont have money to burn... that's why i only let professionals detail my car (once or twice a year mind you) and i do it myself in between...helps maintain the look/value over the years

$300 sounds cheap to the 12 hours I put in detailing my car. At my billable hours, $300 is real cheap. But I don't do it to save money, its therapy, as I'm sure it is for a lot of people that detail their own cars.

Whoa... I'm glad this thread turned out happy instead of the way I thought it was going.
Yes, good on you, Jonathan. At first $300 sounded like alot to me too, but when you consider how much energy is expended in doing this type of thorough job, it's actually reasonable as heck, PLUS you're saved the immense inconvenience of having to drop it off somewhere and either rent a car or wait (for 4-8 hours?!).
Ok, I've changed my mind, $300 is cheap!

Anyone know of a mobile detailer like these guys in the Seattle area?
Given the amount of time I have right now, $300 seems like a bargain. I would rather do it myself, but I would spring for that kind of money a couple of times a year to save time on weekly details...
