Good Luck with the sale.
+1 on that. I agree, distance should not stop you from the purchase of the right car. With so many R'listers willing to help, carfax, PPI's, etc., it's totally viable.

I live in Vancouver Canada and my car came from Lima Ohio! - The right car is like the right woman...
she's not always right in front of you or even in the same country..

people say this, but after reading 1000 baby seat posts with search function and trying half a dozen myself, I still havent found anything that fits in my back seats correctly

I heard that the Century 1000 or something of that nature fit in the back of 911s. My kids are too old for car seats now, so we just resort to another car.

2na: nice fishing rod set ya got there!

Kika,
Good eyes. You can say I am a fishing fanatic...my wife and I along with the kids spend most of our weekends around Catalina. San Clemente also when the yellowtail are biting like last weekend. Those are only back-ups, the rest are on the boat.

Too far?
If it is the right car for you, go for it. That is a heck of a deal.
Get a PPI, fly out, look at it, go to bank, drive it home. It's a beautiful thing.

OT: Jonathon, I have a working solution for a forward facing seat in the rear of mine. PM if you want details but it is simple and involves a mighty-tite to cinch the seat in very snug.

Distance is really not a show stopper. Too many of us have picked our cars up 1,000s of miles from home. I flew into Denver on a Sunday, drove her back to LA on Monday. And the drive was exquisite. These are thoroughbreds....they were meant to run. Everytime I get behind the wheel of my car it's an absolute joy. But for one that doesn't have one...it's hard to explain...the only analogy I can think of is trying to explain what sex is like to a virgin...words can never convey the EXPERIENCE...if that's your car go get her, or someone else will. Best of luck.

I would fly down to LA Saturday night, drive all night and all day back to Seattle, ready for work on Monday. If only....

....I didn't get bitten by the TT bug, that is. I just know that, after having driven TTs, that I would eventually want to get a TT.
