This is the one you want.

The Daytona in SS with WHITE face is the rarest and most desirable. $10000-12000 USD is the going rate (If you can find one), the MSRP is somewhere around 7500~ I believe.

Got it as a gift a few years ago

Why all this wasted debate on the Daytona? Your nicest watch is the Panerai Submersible. I was a Rolex guy too until I discovered these a few years ago and there is no turning back. There are a lot of nice brands beyond Rolex...

True there are other brands other than Rolex, but I find that within each brand, there is a model that stands out.

I prefer the AP watches....now that is artfully wrapped swiss engineering.

I have also become a huge Panerai fan. That Submersible is outstanding!

Daytona is a classic. Prefer the black face one's myself. But you're following the crowd with a Rolex. Panerais, especially the Submersibles make a different statement. AP Off Shore is the one I want one day, but that's real money!

I would argue that the "nicest" of the bunch is the AP Offshore Polaris:

It's my favorite...

...But I also do love my Panerai, 187.. Especailly because you can club people over the head with it like a 9 iron..

Moogle - that's actually B-Line's collection, I copied it from his post on the last page. I've never taken a picture of my watches.

As nice as the new SS Daytonas are, I don't think they compare to the old models like the 6239.

If you were buying and selling that much volume, who ever you were buying your Rolex's from should be throwing Daytona's at you. Your a nobody. You move no volume, otherwise, you would have plenty of SS models.
And quoting an $11,500 price tag is an insult and a joke.

Anybody who knows anything about the way grey market dealers buy and sell watches, know, that you buy bulk Rolex's from dealers who need to move quantity to make quota. There is no WHOLESALE Rolex.. It's back door merchandise you buy from AD's. (ROLEX knows it goes on, but of course, they frown upon it.)

-- And, nobody buys DAYTONA'S from WHOLESALERS either. Every watch dealer has em, you are just trying to charge people for having it go through your hands when they can buy it direct, second hand, for $10K.

And you obviously don't do enough good business that you get stocks of Daytona's.. So people have to overpay you for watches that you are overpaying for. -- Every watch dealer in the country now has Daytona's in the safe.. WHOLESALE ROLEX DEALERS?? What are you talking about???
You mean GREY MARKET ROLEX DEALERS..

I wouldn't buy a bucket of water from you if I were on fire.
B

btw, I own two SS Daytona's, both MSRP, with my name on the slips, bought authorized.. How? Because I obviously know things that the "BEST" online Rolex guy doesn't know. How to use buying power to get difficult pieces.

No need to be a jerk. We are talking watches, not Porsches....

I love both brands and I collect both as well. but rest assured your investment will be better on a rolex watch always. if you want to get into watches. you can never go wrong on rolex watches as long as you stay away on yellow gold .

I would call gil at nywatchcollector.com he can get you anything you want for a fair price.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk.. I was trying to protect, other paid members of Rennlist from getting information I thought was false.

I saw something I didn't like, from a new member, and I called him out on it.
We obviously settled our dispute, so why are you coming in and stirring up trouble?
