From Iraq... Missing the 993 and the open road.

Hi everybody,
It's been a long time since I checked in. I wanted to let everyone know that things are going well here, and as usual, the Marines are kicking ***. I really appreciate all of the messages I received prior to my deployment, it's nice to see so many patriots here.
I have a couple pictures of my 993 (and my family too) posted on my wall. I miss the leather seats, great looks and everything else Porsche. An armored humvee just doesn't "do it" for me...but it would be effective in LA traffic. My wife assures me the Porsche is happy in the garage, and waiting for me to get back.
We've got a long way to go here, but progress is being made every day. Please keep my Marines and the brave Iraqi people that have put their lives on the line for their country in your prayers. Continue to support our troops back home, it means the world to us.
Semper Fi,
Doug

Doug,
Please extend my thanks and gratitude to everyone in your unit. If you register on www.anymarine.com, we'd appreciate the opportunity to send your unit a care package. If your unit is already registered, let me know which name to search under.
You can pm or e-mail me to confirm.

Bring yourself and your men and women home safe. Thank them all for their service. I do every day.
