Me too, my 3 car seems tiny in comparison. This weekend is out for me; takin' the wife up to Tahoe for mother's day weekend. Can either of you get away mid week?

This weekend is also out for me since it is Mothers Day. Next weekend works or any day during the week as long as it is in the after noon.

Seriously though.. doing the research on moving to Reno I see that Pyramid Lake is not too far out of town.

How difficult is it to get out there on weekends? How is the launch ramp area, facilities there (marina, store, etc. is there a bar/restaurant and if so how many and are they any good?).

I used to waterski before my knees went wonky... I'd like my kids to learn and now that the youngest is 4... seems like a good time to start thinking about another boat. Boating in fresh water will be a breeze compared to the hassles of salt water boating here. You can PM me if you like.

Sorry to take this off-topic but I can read all the 'reviews' and stuff until I'm blue in the fact but getting first-hand info from someone living there is worth gold.

very nice!!

although I think that I have found the best practice.... seperate 'his' and 'hers' garages... mine is a 3-car, hers a 2-car...both have seperate entrances to the house...

dont' make fun of my son's car...he is only 2

God, please send me more money so I can buy more land, so I can build a bigger garage, so I can buy more P-cars...

Not difficult at all. 30 - 45 minutes, depending on where you live. The lake is on a reservation, and is controlled by the Paiute Indians. I think they charge about $9/day or $45/year for boating permits. Weekends can get a bit crowded in the summer, which is why I go mostly during the week. You have to go see the bartender to get the boating and fishing permits right now, because the outfit that runs the marina /store is bickering with the tribe. The launch area isn't great, but it is serviceable. The bar and the store are also not the greatest, but they both have the basic necessities.

Next weekend works for me. They are having a show and shine at Bill Pearse Porsche Saturday AM that I might go to. Nothing formal but should have a number of Sierra Nevada Region PCA members there.

Let's work it out next week sometime. Sounds like fun

Meet at the Show and shine, check out some of the local P-Cars, and then make a drive for lunch somewhere? Sounds good to me.

So now I feel like an idiot. I could trade my cramped 2000 sf/2 car cramped grarage home in the Bay Area for that in Reno??? And I'm coming up this weekend to "get away". wtf???

I want to get out to Reno too. I have a house up there that I've only seen a few times in the past year. Would be great to see the other 993's out there and spend less time in the casinos.

Great house, btw, that garage is very nice! In the half space I would put a couple lazy boys, a plasma and a mini fridge!
