Winter is over!!
This winter I have done the following DIY's:
- changed oil and filters
- changed air filter
- replaced fabric tape around the fresh air intake below the windshield
- put a GarthS type stint in my varioram vacuum hose
- rebuilt the LSD
- changed the SAI valve
- cleaned up the exhaust and tips
- replaced a leaky valve cover gasket
- replaced the belt on the dual dizzy
Last night I finished up the SAI project. I had taken the manifold completely out. Even in my bench vise I could not get the old valve off without cutting it down the the nut and using a socket and strong-arm combination. I cleaned up the manifold and used some copper anti-seize on the threads. I tightened it 'just' past hand tight. Afterwards I started her up and did a quick wash and chamois dry. She was purring beautifully! Saturday is already booked for salmon fishing, but I think Sunday I will go for a nice long drive through the twisties of Renfrew county!
