Concours 'Workshop' *pictures*
Hi Folks,
A week or so ago, we here in the NY Metro area had a 'concours workshop' which took place at the home of our esteemed Concours Chair.
Here’s the pix I took that day -- in three 'parts'.
Suggestion – click on the first thumbnail and then click on the ‘Next’ button (on the bottom right of each ‘larger’ pic.)

Cordially,
Gerry

The 'tip' of most 'touch-up' pens is WAY too large and coarse to do any real 'rock-chip' filling ....with finesse.
The trick was to put some of the paint *from* the paint-pen onto a piece of paper - post-it - whatever - and then use a FINE tipped paintbrush.

I see. Thanks. BTW, did the Lanka work well? How long did you have to wait before using it.
In my past experience with Lanka, it's either too early where the Lanka took off all the touch up paint, or too late where the Lanka won't smooth the touchup paint down.

Hi,
The langka method works but you have to be really patient. You need to allow the paint-blob to FILL the 'scratch/hole' before you de-blob. Often you have to apply multiple layers of 'blob' before the scratch/hole is REALLY filled so that it is truly 'proud' of the surrounding paint. If you use too much of the blob-remover you'll remove too much of the filler paint and will end up with a 'depression' in the paint :-(. Also, if you use your finger, instead of e.g. a credit card with the cloth 'stretched taut' over the edge - you'll similarly end up with a depression. What you need to do is 'chemically shave' the excess paint away - and that takes a little patience and finesse.
