Default euro M030/bilstein HD's on factory M030

Trying to decide on suspension upgrade options for my 95C2. The car is an April/95 Canadian car with option M030 from the factory. The car already appears to sit fairly low(definitely NOT suv height!), was M030 in Canada the same as in the US? Although I'd like to install PSS9's, I think the euro M030/HD setup would probably be a lot cheaper and more realistic given the car is driven almost entirely on the road. If the car already has M030, what parts should I be looking for? Any info on pricing? Installation in the Vancouver area? What else do I need to consider?
Thanks, Tim.

This is THE reference! to read: page down to spring code colours to confirm what you currently have installed. With a NA VIN, it is unlikely ROW MO30 springs were installed.
ROW green/orange ( paint dabs) fronts and brown rears + HD's makes for a great street ride ( bars are nice too ...), and can be done in the privacy of your own garage

Hey Tim,

I too have the 030 option on my cnd car. According to bob from "viper bob" this means we already have the away bars, so all we need now is the springs and shocks....

please keep me posted if you find anything else out.

I bought my PSS9's in the US and got Weissach to install it. The installation cost $900.

Lots of people speak highly of Scan on the North Shore. Weissach is about 5 blocks from my condo.

Thats with writing up a DIY and taking pictures, washing the hands in between each bolt not to dirty the camera. On other threads, we have discussed thoroughly how much time it took all of us, and the average is really less, with rennlisters doing the DIY solo. hi sam !

Garth S, thanks for the link. Now I need to find out what's on my car now. Like I said, the car already seems to sit fairly low with fender height measurements similar to those mentioned for ROW M030 springs(I know these aren't entirely accurate). To check the colour(remember I'm Canadian, eh!) of the springs, do I need to remove the wheels. Where approx. is the colour marking. ientre9y11, Stuart at Weissach didn't mind you supplying the parts? I know some shops prefer to supply the parts. Also I assume you had to get the car aligned for an additional cost.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Timothy -

Depending on the cleaniness of your wells, you ~might~ be able to see the markings on the springs without having to remove the wheels, but removing the wheels will make it overall easier.

The markings will be paint swipes on the sides of the springs, such as here:

Just checked after returning home, my front springs are orange! This means they are M030, any way of telling if they are US or ROW?

Are we talking front or rears?

The specific color (as referenced in my DIY) will denote whether it is US or ROW also.

From Vikins table in Jeffs DIY ...

Front Springs:

ROW M029: 993.343.531.00 - Red
ROW M033: 993.343.531.04 - Blue
ROW M030 & Turbo: 965.343.531.01 - Orange/Green
USA M032: 964.343.531.11 - Green
USA M030 & Turbo: 964.343.531.12 - Orange

Orange are the 'tall' US/Can spec MO30. If the rears are light blue, that confirms the spec.
One orange and two green stripes are the ROW MO30 fronts .... two browns are rears as Jeff pictured.

A related spring question - I have the ROW M029: Red Front & Violet Rear Springs.

What is the difference compared to ROW M030 & M033?

Ride Height - same?
Spring Rate - softer?

Same height, different spring rates.

The M033s allow you to lower the car to (edit--our typical...) ROW height, but keep the stock ride compliance ("feel").

The M030s allow you to lower the car to ROW height, but increase the spring rate and thus stiffen the ride a bit (aka sport suspension).
