I think the 997 GT3 is beautiful. Is it just me?

Do this in this order:
(1) Watch the movie: The last holiday.
(2) go buy a 997 GT3.
(3) live happily everafter.
Best of luck.

Pong, I totally agree they are indeed nice to look at... but the view is even better from behind the wheel. Here's my brother's new 997 GT3. Simply one awesome car...

After driving Paul's (Oldguy) 996 Manthey GT3 (its for sale, BTW), I felt that if I didn't have my fabulous Ruf Turbo R, that is the car I'd be lusting for. The 997 GT3 is even prettier, and a tiny bit better than the 996 GT3, and the new GT3 RS is simply... ahhhh.... ****. I'd get one in orange with all the graphics, because I'm that sort of lunatic. I love that the GT3 is such a driver's car, and requires constant attention. Reminds me of my old 1970 911E... had to be in the revs with lots of shifting, but light and well connected.
No... Rufus is NOT for sale.

Steve,
I'm with you re the Rufs we own. Though I only have a humble BTR. However, the Rufs really help stop us from spending vast sums of money on other cars.
I was lying awake last night thinking what colors would be good for the 997 GT3, and I came up with white and Speed Yellow graphics. Speed Yellow wheels and Big Red calipers.
Oh, natural brown full leather interior with white deviating stitching BTW. Now that would be a stunning look IMHO. Wonder if any PhotoShop guru and drum up such an image and post that here for all to drool.

The GT3 has to be one of the best Porsche's I have driven. I only have 800 miles so it will take a bit more time to find the top RPM limit, but this is the best....

Once past break-in, we'd love to have your full report. I can just imagine what kind of ride the GT3 is. Do you find the front lip too low for daily driving?

Yes. I will be replacing this many times during ownership of this car. I have had the razor blade out a few times already. It seems that most driveways with any amount of pitch will cause it to rub (Sideways, Front Ways, any ways...). The plastic bunches up into little *****. But all that I would not make that the deciding factor on a purchase.

Porsche has a dynasty all to their own. Back in the 1960's their cars looked good and handled better, in the 1970's their cars looked really good and handled even better, in the 1980's their cars looked fabulous and ran the comp into the ground. In the ‘90s we see the best cars of all time!! It’s no surprise that the 2007 911 RS is the best car on the road!

I was driving through Summerville, Georgia this weekend when I ran across a GT3 RS en route to Road Atlanta. We followed each other for awhile on the back roads. That was one awesome car!
The owner said he had a '98 C2S a while back and that he wished he still had it.

Was it in Santana Row? I am thinking of going to SR this coming Saturday.
