Default Wanted: Rear Seat Delete - Black

I have rear seats in my '97 993 Cab that I would trade for a rear seat delete kit if someone wanted to.

Have not heard of this option for our cabs can you explain this a bit more?

Hard option to find. People on the borad have paid as much as $600.0 for a used one. Here is a pic of the one I have in my car. It took 3 months to find. Keep searching eBay.

Cant really tell what it does from the pic. Does it fold down and just give you a flat surface on the bottom and back? Was this a factory option?

The RSD replaces the rear seats (bottoms and backs). Once installed there is a flat surface to place items. Also there are 2 glovebox doors that open and supply covered storage. This is a factory option and a very hard one to find. See more pics it may help. One is of mine and one is from another Rennlister.

Like I said just keep searching and searching. I got mine from eBay after loosing out 3 times. I love mine because of the storage capabilities and I have no use for the back seats.

What color are your seats and carpet? Are the seats full leather or partial? What color leather is your center support pillar/bracket?

I have a tan/black RSD in my cab that I am thinking of taking out. Mine has new tan carpeting and I have recovered the bin doors in black leather, but I do not have the solenoid locks hooked up.

How does the tonneau (spelling) cover work with the RSD? I want one of these too!

It just fits the same except it doesn't tuck behind the seats because there are no more seats

Thanks...if I do decide to go back to rear seats I'd want to go with leather ones.

Jim

The rear seat deletes are a TANK.
I would go to a reputable stereo store and have them make a custom light weight one for alot less.
