Continuation of the slippery slope. I have posted some pics of my Audison Lrx 6.9 amp install and Focal 5.25" polyglass front and Focal 4" polyglass rear component speakers. Waiting on my JL Audio 8" sub enclosures from Rod Birch to finish up. New pics in my signature link. Almost finished.

Nice setup. I went through a similar excercise recently (6.5" Focal K2P and Audison LR 2.150) and the sound is really improved..
I'm wondering why the crossovers are mounted under the seats, which means multiple wire runs to the doors instead of one wire pair to a door-mounted crossover. Maybe you have RS panels and couldn't hide the crossovers there?
EDIT - I see you've also got Focals in the back, so maybe that's what those underseat xovers are for.... I bet it sounds great.

Good question. The front speaker crossovers are mounted in the door. The rear crossovers are mounted under the seat. Those kevlar Focals you have are supposed to sound awesome! Did you go with subs?

I am using a new pioneer unit. DEHP2900. Very simple face and easy to use functions. No graphics or bling bling. Also very reasonably priced. I spent my money on the amp, speakers, and subs.

No, just the Focals. They have pretty good midbass. I had a 10" JL sub in my old '88 Carrera, which sounded good, but I just didn't want to get any more elaborate this time around.
It's funny, I also bought exactly the same Pioneer 2900 head unit you did, just because it's black. It's pretty good for the price. I was amazed how many features even the cheapie head units have these days.

Have to agree the focals have great base as is even without the amp. I am probably doing an overkill job but with the cab and exhaust I wanted to be able to hear my tunes once in a while. I think the head unit is fantastic for looks and simple to use which was a big deal to me since I cant even program a VCR. Oh thats right we dont use those anymore.

I have a very similar setup, with the Rod Birch 8" JL Audio Subs, 6.5" door spaekers with Cross-overs & MB Quart Custom fit rear shelf speakers. Running through an Audison SrX3 amp and Pioneer head unit, the sound is nothing short of awesome. Enjoy it, I love mine.

Okay subs installed today and look fantastic new pics tomorrow. HOLY S***T!!!! This thing now sounds amazing. Had to do some tweaking on the front and rear crossovers and gain to get the right power to the right places but man what a sound coming out of my little cab! Money well spent to do this right! Thanks Rod!!!
