Default Need advice for battery liquid

Hello,
I have driven year 96, 993 since last year and found that battery was getting old
and time to replace. I bought battery, Moll Kamina 565 35 (12V 65Ah 350A) through
internet. ( I believe this is Porsche 993 genuine battery. )
I was not expected, but this battery delivered without any battery liquid.
Also no instruction neither.

Does anyone experience to get brand new battery without any liquid?
I need some advices on the following two questions.

1. What kind of battery liquid shall I put in? Battery acid that I can buy
car shop or distilled water ? ( I heard that there is special battery which
can take distilled water at the beginning, but with chemical affection, it
generate appropriate acid with distilled water. )

2. For charging the brand new battery at the first time, is there any special
instruction? I heard that small current ( 2A ) with long charging time
is better.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Hiro

I have never heard of a dry battery like you decribe, in the USA. Maybe in Europe, our European friends may be able to help you.
If I received a dry battery, I would take it back for exchange or my money back!

I believe that it is illegal to ship battery acid (whether in a battery or not) by the usual means unless special arrangements are made. It is after all a hazardous chemical. As such lead acid batteries are usualy shipped without the acid. You'll need to find a friendly battery shop who will fill it with the proper electrolyte acid. Start by contacting the people you bought it from to see if they have a recommendation. Failing that look in the Yellow Pages under "batteries" and start dialing. Once it's filled 24 hours on a 2 amp charger should be enough to get it ready to go.

You need to get electrolyte to put in the battery...it usually comes with the battery in a plastic bag. Not familiar with internet battery purchase though. Contact the seller and ask them.

I use these (model 1236) in my racecar and love them (5 years of abuse and still works better than a much heavier and leak-prone standard battery - holds a charge forever too)!

I think model 1257 would be good for 993 (My 993 battery is fresh or I'd get onefor my 993 too)

Thank you guys for many advices.
I found battery electrolyte at a car parts shop and put these into dry battery.
Now it is charged by low amps, tomorrow battery would be ready to go.
