I have a problem with my control box or "brain" for my 993 cabrio it will only work (raise or lower) if I push the contact into place on the middle relay of 5 in the control box can this be repaired without renewing the complete box or is the only way to fix it by buying a new/second hand control box if the only solution is the latter do any of you guys know where I can purchase a S/H control box.

IIRC there is a lot of info on this problem (cab top control box) to do with cold/fatigued solder joints in the connector area. Many people have removed their control units resoldered and found it works like new...

Search will bring up a lot of info, try terms like "cold solder" and "cab solder" for info.

Best of luck - this problem hasn't affected me .....(yet)......
