Dear 993ers...
A friend needs a PPI in Houston...he's looking for a car @ Victory Motorcars...Yes I know...I told him to "search" about Victory...anyway...I heard Euro cars werk has a "conflict of interest" as they service all Victory's cars... do you guys know another reliable shop in the Houston area by any chances...
PS. I know Mike Callas is great but he's 50 miles away!
Thanks in advance...

There's a guy named "Viking," who used to have a shop there who comes highly recommended. I was about to use him until i saw the price of the Victory car. His number is gone with all of my Houston research.

Viking Slovall used to have a nice shop and he was a good guy.
Protechnik, years ago "inspected" my car, due to my frustration with Advantage and found nothing wrong. At the time I was a newbie and did not know much about 911's, they missed everything that was actually wrong, which were found by Mike Callas when I was directed to him because I could find no one who knew 911's... Nice guys never the less, maybe the car was inspected by one of the junior guys and not Sam Shallala ( the owner).
At any rate, all roads for a Houston PPI do lead to Mike as he is the only mechanic I know that is **** about checking the car thoroughly himself and he knows his 911's especially the aircooled.
So while he is far away, a flat bed tow is really worth it IMO...

Danny, I never was able to work out arrangements with Mike Callas, although I was finally able to get him on the phone.
