Mike J - Those lights are amazing! Thx for posting that info. I thought the 55 wt light were the blue lights, not the OEM looking white/yellowish type. Glad to hear I could upgrade to the better brightness fogs one day if I desire.

I am with Steve on this. I also have HID lights. So I don't need any extra light. The five watt lights are charming - a nice ambiance for those late nights in the paddock.

Hi Ron,
The lights/ducts in the last pictures look exactly like the set I bought in a GB a year or two ago... which were from the same source as the units Mike started with. Pretty nice fiberglass work with OK fit, but mediocre (at best) lights which are glued in place and preclude bulb changes. I followed Mike's DIY to install some Hellas, and found the results to be well worth a weekend of effort.
There were a few threads regarding issues with these units... so caveat emptor. Try searching with "overheating" or "dremel" and "turbo s duct group buy." I don't mean to dissuade you or anyone else, but I was a little disappointed with my ducts/lights previously. YMMV naturally.
Cheers, Mark.

Interesting. From what I had seen, these looked to be the best out there, short of OEM.
Maybe I need to revisit this entire thing and just go with brake ducts![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So what is the final consensus? Buy the expensive OEM and hack into them? OUCH!

Resurrecting an old thread. Does anyone know where to buy OEM Turbo S ducts without the ridiculous 5w positioning lights? I PMed 993_pilot re his above post but he doesn't remember. I think he bought from RPM (see this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...o-s-ducts.html). If one can buy the OEM housings for $100, I will do a LED solution for the lights.. The Turbo S ducts with the useless lights are ~$300 AFAIK.. Please chime in if you have any leads. Can the housings be ordered separately? It doesn't look like they can from the PET..

Viggo,
I see that you figured out where I got mine even though I couldn't remember. If RPM had them then, I would think any dealer should be able to get them. If you are still having trouble, I think there was a part number cast into the ducts on the back side. I can pull one and see if it will help. Best of luck in your search.

The 5w positioning lamp (which was never meant to act as a fog lamp) simply snaps into the plastic housing of the factory Turbo S duct.
Sunset currently sells the real Turbo S ducts for $130 each...
