You have too many Porsche's!!!
I think you should get rid of the one with those nasty stickers on it!!!
Why don't you give it to me and I will look after it for you. The "good ol boys" won't have to bother you about the decals any more.

Porsche was involved in F1 with the Porsche-TAG motor and the McLaren team and won the driver's championship from '84, '85 and '86. Niki Lauda showed he still had the right stuff when he came out of retirement to race for McLaren, with teammate Alain Prost then proceeding to win in '85 and '86.
Porsche also supplied engines to the Footwork team in '91 but did very poorly, but I don't recall that engine being TAG-funded.

I am really torn. The decals are done very well, but they are a little much.

That does not distract from the value of the car....An RS in the US is exceptional.

That car sure is wonderful. As stated above, if you can find details of it's history, and especially if they are significant, don't remove them. If the opposite occurs than take them off.
Also, I'm know I'm not the only one here that would love to hear any details you'd care to share of your purschase and importation.

Besides, on the road you'll be very easily idetified by
them. If you get my drift.

One thing to remember is the risk of damage when removing them or a slight color change where there was stickers and not. O.k some will say na that won't happen but what if? I wouldn't risk it. Keep em!

Delema. I think they look o.k. They have a little history, the car will not be driven very often.
Should they stay or should they go.
Thanks in advance for the input.

At first glance I thought get rid of them. But after seeing the cool Tag Heuer decals on the front I'd say you should keep them.
I wish I had your decisions to make! Congrats.

Thanks for all the help. I am still a little confused???
I flew over to Germany logged 4,000 KM and found this car just outside the black forrest. The owners name is Bernd. Maybe a rennlister. He has a wonderfull collection. He is a Lotus dealer. The car was strickly a show car since birth. He added the stickers to idenify some type of sponsership. The story goes that he would drive this car to the races and park it. No real history. Maybe someone in Europe has seen the car and can help with the history. I have been trying to get a hold of Thomas Schmitz who helped broker the car but he is not responding.
I think they have to go. Maybe start with the doors and work my way around the car. I kind of like the hood decal. I am a Rolex guy, Tag has no real meaning to me. I think I will go get the hair dryer and the acitone and go to work.
Thanks for all the kind words. Any time any of you are in Salem OR. stop by and say hi. Cold beer served after 4:00
