heading up there on May 5 for a SCCA open event with a bunch of Cobra guys. Was told to be very careful with 15, especially if you get two wheels off during entry...on our cars with ABD, that'll activate which you get on the gas again and potentially spin you into the wall.
Despite this, I'm really looking forward to the event and great write up CP.

Just an update.
Porsche of Fremont just finished the 120k service. Repaired the fuel line, and a few very minor items. They also checked the entire car for track-related damages if any.
Good news is that the lower splitters are unharmed through the 185 miles tow. The car is vary tight. At 180k miles and the track event, the tires, brakes, suspension parts and similar items are in sound shape. So both I and the Ruf BTR survived the first track event, relatively unscathed.

Pong- Glad you had a successful 1st time at the track!! In future I have a friend with a flatbed service who is always willing to help out. Picking up a car in Lake Tahoe was $500 so would be less than that for Thill.
Eric- Good to hear you were at the track!
Cheers, Brad

CP,
The RUF looks like its in its element on the track but you're probably like me in the thinking that it probably wouldn't be a good idea for us "newbies" to use our cars on the track. I'd feel much more comfortable driving another car such as those cars at the Porsche Driving School. It's a safe and controlled environment where one can alleviate their "track bug" fixes. I just got back from the Masters and find myself already itching to go back again. One fellow who drove his 997 GT3 from LA was there and this was his 18th time.
He was REALLY addicted!
Happy to see that your RUF came out unscathed.
