Default alternator belt broken again!

I had my alternator replaced about 2 years ago with a rebuilt one. Tonight the alternator belt broke for the second time. The first time was last summer. All the work has been done at the dealership. Should I be pissed off?

How was the tension? 2 years sounds too soon for it to fail.

And have you done the pulley update TSB? From looking at service records, the PO of my car went through several belts in short order until they finally did the update. At least I think it was the alternator belt that was failing.

Make sure you don't have a burr on either pulley too.

I left the TSB with the car at the dealership. The alternator is a rebuilt one. The original lasted 9+ years with the original belt. Since it was replaced the belt has now broken twice, each lasting less than one year. I wonder if the original pulley was the updated one and the rebuilt to old one. Guess I'll find out next week. Thanks for the suggestions.
