Selling my 97 C4S on Rennlist and on Autotrader. I get a call this morning fom "E-bay" stating that they are having a special auction for 97-99 Porsche's and want to know if I'm interested. Something didn't feel right with this and when I started asking more questions I was hung up on. This happen to anyone else?

I received a lot of sales call when I placed my BMW on Autotrader for sale, they came in as a form of a lead "someone who is interested in the car" and when I called back they were trying to sell me some other ads.
I guess these scams are going around.

I'm selling a BMW now and have had similar calls. Most often they are someone trying to offer a service... most I have seen are slimey and misrepresent themselves.

Yeah, this is really annoying. Every time I've sold anything - though craigslist, newspaper ads, etc, I always gets calls from other services wanting me to list with them. I tell them if I'd heard of them I might've used them, but chances are since I haven't heard of them, nobody else has either - in a much more polite way of course.
