I was in communication with the seller for some trim pieces... Although he didn't come through for me (he was ill) but I've heard that he is well known with the A8s. Again, I don't know him and have no affiliation with him.

If anyone is interested in his auction you might want to ask which generation the seats are... I believe there were gen 1 and gen 2. And very important is to ask for pics of the seats that you are buying. $1900-$2000 is a fair price.

Tony,

I was in contact with the person from Germany that has the Ebay listing.

I am thinking of these seats for my turbo. Can you comment on the differences in first and second generations of these seats and what makes one more desirable.

BTW he sent me pictures of your interior although he did not sell you the seats. So I can only assume he is watching Rennlist.

Tony,

I don't know how I missed this thread in the beginning. I have been too darn busy of late. Not scouring Rennlist for Recaro A8 seat thread is a federal crime I was told.

Congratulations for such beautiful results. You have one of the best-sorted 993tts anywhere. I hope the seat time enjoyment is now greatly enhanced.

Remember what I said over the phone: This mod may be a pain in the butt (well, not literally), but when it gets done, it'll be all worth it. I hope those were prophetic words. I know how much time, money and patience you devoted to this project. That all translates into how much you love and appreciate your car, and how it is a source of your pride and joy. You have arrived, Bud. I'm only glad that my car arrived with all the stuff already in it. I would die if I had to do all those mods on my own.

Well spring is here, so go out and drive and enjoy the fruit of your labor. Be safe though.

CP

Unfortunately, I need a pair. Did you buy that from Germany or the US?

Hey AriKuulTT, could you tell me where you got your A8s retrimmed? I'm looking at a pair that would need to be recovered in LG or Cashmere. Let me know, thanks.
