This probably doesn't count, but I was with Escort radar detectors on and off for 29 years (off at the moment), and when we were small, we needed a car to go pick up parts in, etc. We bought a brand new 9C-1 Impala police package, which I autocrossed successfully. Here I am at the SCCA divisionals in about 1980, where I finished 3rd out of 18 in F/Stock, beating Mustangs, TransAms, and Z-28's.
Car was dead stock except for big tires and stiff shocks.

Local Sheriff's dept now uses new Dodge chargers in all black. Almost impossible to spot in traffic and they are pulling people over like crazy. They also appear to be pretty quick and the cops like to fly weaving in and out of traffic.
