So maybe Porsche "the company" isn't designing a boat, but according to
Cigar aficionado, April's issue. pg 48, Porsche Austria's Design Studio was
hired to design a 28' foot, 1550 hp "goddess". 150 footers to follow.

Oh my, that's just what I need. I can see that out on Lake Michigan for the weekend. I wish they had some info on power plant options and more pictures but I guess that will come. Good find.

Not my cup of tea but interesting and the styling is good.. 6000 pounds, seats 5, 525hp - sounds like a waterborne Cayenne :-)
Andy - did you see that the optional power plant is an Ilmor/Viper V10?

Great looking boats but looks like a brand new European company with only one model out. Wasn't there a company back in the 80's (from the US) selling boats with 928 V8 engines.......

Porsche helped out on a Mooney as well:
" In 1988 Mooney went to even greater lengths, partnering with Porsche to include their geared engine and stretching the fuselage the last time to produce the first long body M20. All M20Ls no longer use this unique engine. Porsche required owners to return the aircraft for replacement with a more conventional Continental engine due to service and liability concerns. (Many owners objected, to no avail.) M20L production ended in 1990."

Those Ilmore engines are really stout but I'd be hard pressed to take one over the new Merc series of engines. I wonder what the price tag on these will be. I've been looking for a 28-30 footer but I can't imagine what the costs of importing one of these would be.

Wellcraft Scarab Offshore had the "Marinized" Porsche 928 engine option mated to Mercruiser Bravo 1 drives in the early to mid 80's.
